We moved Jack back into the study with me. Got everything hooked up perfectly!!

Except

His mouse (Microsoft wireless mouse 3000) operates my Logitech M305.

My usb port is next to his mouse - NOT the port where his mouse is hooked into. That's about 3 feet away. Took my usb out and his mouse still moved mine. And the tone from his mouse is on my machine.

I tried a Logitech Laser mouse and his mouse did the same thing. Operated mine.

The cell phone is not near it nor fluorescent lights.

When his mouse isn't being used, I can use mine. Just like now.

Shut his down cause he's not using it anyhow.

Oh oh, ha ha ha ha! Sorry for laughing, but thats funny. Someone will come along and tell you what to do. Sounds like it could be a simple explaination on fixing it.

Must have lucked out and got mice that operate on the same frequency. Take one back and exchange it for another?

Ross, I tried two different Logitech brand mices. Logitech M305 and a Logitech Laser mouse on my machine.

Didn't solve the problem.

I'll start up his machine and restart mine to see what happens.

Sounds like the only thing that might work is getting a different brand.

Thanks for your help.

Ha ha, sounded like it was something simple. Glad you got it working Jeanne!! Isn't it amazing with these machines. There's always something that happens that you have to fix. I hate it. Why can't they make a machine that is perfect when you buy it and it stay that way till you "WANT" a new one. Sheesh!!

They are pretty close to perfect for the most part but people get a hold of them and mess it up

Last night, my other grandson came over so we had 3 puters going. Only 2 working mouses. So, I plugged into the laptop the Microsoft mouse. It "grabbed" on to the cursors on Jack's and mine desktops.

So, Microsoft mouse goes ebay.
